photo credit: giovani omega Manny Pacquiao starred as first filipino hero Lapu-Lapu in a re-enactment of the Battle of Mactan or known as Kadaugan sa Mactan and formerly as Bahug-Bahug sa Mactan last April 27, 2008 in Opon/Mactan Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines.
Wearing an ethnic undergarment (bahag) and holding a battle sword, Pacquiao battled it out with actor Dennis Trillo who portrayed Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan at the “Kadaugan sa Mactan" near the Lapu-Lapu/Mactan shrine. Pacquiao’s wife Jinky played Lapu-Lapu’s wife bulakna. |
